Accounts Assistant - Lower Hutt - 20 Hours per week

WellStop is a creative and well-established agency concerned with the prevention of further sexual abuse in our communities, mainly through provision of assessment and treatment services to children, young people and adults who present with concerning or harmful sexual behaviour as well as the provision of ACC sensitive claims services.  

Our head office is based in Lower Hutt and we have small offices in Taranaki, Palmerston North, Whanganui, Napier and Gisborne. We are a not-for-profit agency with about 40 permanent staff and a small number of contractors. About half of our staff are based in our Lower Hutt office.

Looking for a new job for the New Year that offers flexibility? 

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to work 20 hours a week to perform a range of accounting and payroll duties that support our Accountant and Business Manager. We are looking for someone with an internal customer services approach who will enjoy being the first point of contact for our Managers and staff on anything payroll or accounts related. In this role you will be privy to confidential and sensitive information, which you will need to handle professionally and in line with WellStop policy. 

We use Xero for our accounts and MYOB payroll. If you have prior experience in these that would be a bonus! 

In terms of hours - ideally we would like someone who is available to work 5 hours a day, 4 days a week. Pick your own start and finish time to apply consistently over 4 agreed days, as long as they are within our normal business hours of 8am – 5:30pm.

Service Coordinator Sexual Harm Crisis Support 
Taranaki Region - 40 hours per week

WellStop is a creative and well-established agency concerned with the prevention of further sexual abuse in our communities, mainly through provision of assessment and treatment services to children, young people and adults who present with concerning or harmful sexual behaviour. 
 
Are you a Social Worker looking for a new opportunity to make a difference in the community?
 
We are seeking two experienced Clinicians to help us set up and run a new service, one in the Taranaki region and one in the Taumarunui/Sth Ruapehu region, with the job title of Service Coordinator.
The Taranaki position will be based in New Plymouth and the Taumarunui/Sth Ruapehu position will be based according to where best decided, within the region. Both roles will report to the Team Leader Taranaki. Both roles will require travel.
 
In each role you will establish, coordinate and maintain the effective running of a sexual harm crisis support service for the Taranaki and Taumarunui/Sth Ruapehu regions.
 
You will proactively focus on community development and networking with the goal of promoting safe attentive and responsive communities of care. You will network with government, iwi and non-government social service organisations.
 
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A recognised qualification in Social Work.
  • Relevant work experience, ideally in the Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB) and Crisis Support Services fields.
  • ACC registration or be eligible to apply
  • Experience coordinating Social Services projects and leading a small team
  • Experience working actively to ensure that the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi are recognised
  • Experience of working collaboratively and effectively in a Multi-Disciplinary Team
  • Experience in working with stakeholders, collaborating with other relevant agencies and have links with Iwi and the community.

Clinician - Central - 2 Permanent positions - Both 40 hours per week​

WellStop is a creative and well-established agency concerned with the prevention of further sexual abuse in our communities, mainly through provision of assessment and treatment services to children, young people and adults who present with concerning or harmful sexual behaviour. 
 
We are seeking two experienced Clinicians for our Central team who may be a Clinical Psychologist, Registered Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Counsellor or Social Worker. Relevant work experience is required, ideally in the Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB) and Victim Services fields.  
 
As a Clinician for WellStop you will assess and provide evidence-informed treatment to clients and their families in a culturally responsive manner. You will work with different client groups i.e. people who have sexually offended and those who have experienced harm. You will apply your skills and expertise and be expected to work collaboratively with others to get the best outcome for the client within defined parameters.
 
The ideal candidates will have:
  • A recognised qualification in Clinical Psychology, Psychology (prefer registered), Psychotherapy, Counselling or Social Work.
  • ACC registration or be eligible to apply
  • Experience and knowledge of working with people who have sexually offended
  • Experience in working with people who have experienced sexual abuse and trauma
  • Experience and knowledge of working with people with mental health concerns and intellectual disability
  • Experience with a variety of evidence-based interventions, including CBT and Kaupapa Maori models of practice eg, Te Whare Tapa Wha
  • Experience working actively to ensure that the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi are recognised
  • Willingness to work creatively and flexibly and learn new models of practice
  • Experience of working collaboratively and effectively in a Multi-Disciplinary Team
  • Experience in working with stakeholders and collaborating with other relevant agencies

Coordinator Sexual Harm Crisis Support Service – Wairoa - 20 hours per week

Are you a Social Worker or do you have social work related experience? Are you looking for a new opportunity to make a difference in the community?
 
We are seeking a motivated person to help us set up and run a new service in the Wairoa region with the job title of Coordinator. This position will be based in Wairoa and will report to the Service Coordinator Gisborne. The role will require travel.
 
In the role you will establish, coordinate and maintain the effective running of a sexual harm crisis support service for the Wairoa region, supported by the Service Coordinator Gisborne. Over time we will have a small team that will deliver this service.
 
You will proactively focus on community development and networking with the goal of promoting safe attentive and responsive communities of care. You will network with government, iwi and non-government social service organisations.
 
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Social work experience
  • Relevant work experience, ideally in the Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB) and Crisis Support Services fields.
  • ACC registration or be eligible to apply
  • Experience coordinating Social Services projects and being part of a small team
  • Experience working actively to ensure that the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi are recognised
  • Experience of working collaboratively and effectively in a Multi-Disciplinary Team
